Practice Areas
- Civil Litigation We are knowledgable and conscientious whenever it becomes necessary to engage in litigation of civil cases. We provide a wide array of services to our clients whenever disputes with either individuals or commercial entities require courtroom advocacy. Our attorneys are admitted to practice in both state and federal courts.
- Personal Injury Our attorneys have extensive experience representing people who have been injured by someone else, such as wrongful deaths, all types of motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, defective products, and all other negligent and intentional misconduct. We strive for our clients to receive the maximum possible compensation for their injuries, lost wages, and other damages.
- Products Liability We represent individuals who have been injured as a result of a product that was designed, manufactured, sold, and/or furnished in an unsafe manner. We have successfully litigated claims concerning a wide range of faulty products from non-crashworthy automobiles to a broken wheelchair axle. We assist those injured individuals in bringing their claims and receiving fair compensation for their injuries.
- Estate Planning We have an excellent track record representing individuals who have been injured as the result of a product that was designed, manufactured, sold, and/or furnished in an unsafe manner, including: asbestos; clothing; alcoholic beverages; firearms; food and agricultural products; machinery and tools; medical products and devices; motor vehicles; recreational products; and tobacco. We assist those injured individuals in bringing their claims and receiving fair compensation for their injuries.
- Probate and Estate Administration We have a significant practice in probate and estate administration. Probate is the legal process by which a will is proved to be valid and decedents' debts are paid and assets distributed after they die. Estate administration includes the probate process as well as non-probate transfers of the deceased's assets, and generally includes collecting all of the decedent's assets, liquidating his or her liabilities, paying necessary taxes (if any), and distributing property to heirs. State laws direct the probate court how to distribute the deceased's estate, so it is important to consult a firm with expertise in this area of the law.
- Contracts We draft contracts in virtually all areas of civil law, and are highly capable at negotiating and drafting contracts; litigating contract performance disputes; and evaluating the appropriate remedies for breached contracts.
- Business & Commercial Law Our attorneys provide a wide variety of services to our business clients, from assisting in selecting the form of business entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and employee relations to business dissolution. The form of business chosen for a business entity potentially affects every aspect of its operations. Our attorneys assist our commercial clients in deciding whether they want to operate as a closely held business, limited liability company, partnership, or corporation. We advise our clients about directors' and officers' liability, dissolution, franchising, reorganization, trade association membership and activity, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business successions, and shareholders' rights. Our attorneys have decades of combined experience in handling both transactional and litigation matters in these areas.
- Consumer Protection We aggressively challenge banks, insurance companies and agents, credit card issuers, and other businesses and merchants that misrepresent or fail to deliver promised services to, or otherwise defraud, their customers.
